Grey Darrah

Atlanta-based portrait photographer Grey Darrah has been offering his clients painted portraits in addition to his photographic works ever since he returned from the Artistry Painting for Photographers Retreat.

"I completely use everything that I learned from the retreat and could never have done this without having been shown all of the basics (and much, much more) by Karen Sperling," says Grey.

"Painter has such an enormous potential, allowing you to do anything that you might imagine.

"As a photographer, I spend a great deal of time creating the setting of the original portrait...furniture, pose, clothing, etc...

"To then open the image in Painter and turn it into such a unique piece of art for the client, is a benefit to both them and me.

"Karen Sperling's Artistry Painting for Photographers Retreat really got me jump-started. Without it, I could see SO much time being wasted trying to "figure" it all out.
